First noticed a small lump on Gavin's butt. I called Golen Paws and scheduled a regular appt for Tue 1/9/24 I was not too concerned.

Emergency Visit Growth on butt grew to a half the size tennis ball and bleeding. The initial thought was an anal sac infection, precautionary biopsy taken

EXTREMELY stressful!
Gavin had fecal incontinence. Meaning he had no control over his butt muscles. He was continually dropping poop around the clock, all over the house! at first, we thought it might be permanent, I didn't know what to do!
it eventually stopped. Whew!!!

DECISION - Decided to change care and follow-up treatment to VRCC in Englewood. They have a good reputation and are just minutes from my work. A huge benefit for his daily radiation.

Stitches out and surgery follow-up. This is when I received the news that the Surgery results and healing were much better than expected!!!!! It changed the outlook from trying to just prolong Gavin's Life for another year or two, to having a chance of actually removing all cancer via radiation and Chemo that can result in many years of life, AKA best case scenario! I call this Miracle #1!!
